 RECALL: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission,Release #09-151 March 12, 2009The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Walter Kidde Portable Equipment Co., announced a voluntary recall of the Kidde XL Fire Extinguishers manufactured between October 2007 and April 2008 with model numbers FX340SC, FX340H, FX340GW, XL5MR, FX210R, FX340SC-2, FX210W, XL2.5TCZ-4, and E-340-3.These extinguisher could lose pressure and fail

RECALL:
We have been informed by the Kidde Safety, Residential & Commercial Division that the threads on the plastic valve body used in a limited number of units within models FA460, XL10TCZ, and XL10RM may deteriorate. Their efforts thus far suggest that some valve bodies on the above models produced during the spring and summer of 1995 may have exhibited this thread deterioration. We ask that if you have an extinguisher of the above model to bring it to a licensed fire extinguisher service organization for inspection of the valve body threads for deterioration.
